Situated on Australia's beautiful Great Barrier Reef just 45 minutes off shore from Cairns, Green Island is a small coral cay of 15 hectares surrounded by a coral reef, and one of Australia's premier environmental heritage sites.

This Queensland Island Resort has 46 luxurious suites nestled amid lush rainforest, and one of the hallmarks of Green Island Resort is its unique reef and rainforest setting. Green Island is the only coral cay in the Great Barrier Reef with a rainforest.
Guests can choose from Island and Reef Suites, which are elegantly appointed and feature private balconies with either rainforest or pool views. Nestled amid lush rainforest these suites are secluded from the day visitor facilities ensuring your privacy.

The superbly appointed luxury guest suites are light and breezy, with a tropical ambience that is matched perfectly with the magical views of the rainforest. Located on the southern side of the island, completely removed from the Day Guest facilities, the 10 Reef Suites and 36 Island Suites provide accommodation for 90 people and are of low set style of construction carefully positioned amongst the lush vegetation of the island. Covered walkways connect the guest rooms to the reception area and private guest facilities including an elegant restaurant and bar, and a lounge area overlooking the idyllic private guest pool.

Island Suite: Spacious guest room of 56 square metres, either double or twin rooms, some inter-connecting or adjoining. All rooms with separate bath and shower, and private balcony. Emerald Restaurant: Green Island Resort's signature restaurant. Enjoy relaxing surroundings, the finest cuisine and first class service. Featuring outdoor terrace dining. Open for breakfast, lunch and dinner.
The Canopy Grill: Casual out door dining to enjoy your favourite burger or one of the extensive buffets. A barbeque buffet lunch is available from 11.00am until 2.30pm with casual outdoor dining underneath the rainforest canopy, open 9.30am to 4.00pm.
Reflections Pool Bar: Will tempt you with one of their specialty cocktails. Situated right next to the main pool deck, the friendly staff will serve your favourite drink, cocktail, refreshing beer or just a soft drink. Sit back at the bar or lay back on the pool deck. A true island atmosphere.
Lite Bites Ice Cream Parlour: Serves your favourite ice cream, coffee, snacks, milkshakes or sandwiches. Situated opposite the Dive shop. Grab an ice cream as you explore the wonders of Green Island Resort. Open from 9.30am to 4.00pm.
