Haggerstone Island

Fitzroy Island Resort
Fitzroy Island is a 45 minute ferry ride (about 30kms) from Cairns in Queensland, and is surrounded by a reef system that forms part of the Great Barrier Reef Marine Park. Idyllic white sandy beaches lead into the safe, sheltered waters, which are also ideal for swimming and water sports as well as yachting and boating. Bedarra Island
There are times when you just don't want to be found, and Bedarra is without doubt one of the better corners of the world in which to disappear. Located just 4kms off Mission Beach, Dunk Island also has its own airstrip for access by air from Cairns or Townsville, and has regular water taxi services from Mission Beach. Orpheus Island
Since the 1930s, Orpheus Island has quietly lured those seeking sanctuary from the frenzy of the modern world, the environment is distinctly tropical Queensland, offering the ultimate in tranquility, seclusion and privacy. Magnetic Island

The island is just a 25 minute passenger ferry ride or 45 minutes by car ferry. The island offers a variety of family apartments, resorts and backpacker hostels. Visitors to the island can take their own car across.
